Dolcetto of Diano d'Alba or Diano d'Alba d.o.c.g.

This wine corresponds to the entire territory of a single small town south of Alba, extended on a hill 500 meters above the sea level

Diano d'Alba

The name of variety derives from the particular sweetness of the grape pulp, but the wines made from it are exclusively dry, characterized by a weak acidity and a pleasant bitter aftertaste.

The main features of this great wine are:

Colour: intense ruby red with youthful purple hues

Smell: fragrant and fruity, marked sometimes of cherry or blackberry jam

Taste: dry, nervous and with an aftertaste of almond varieties that stimulates the palate.
It has some features aromatics, including geraniol, that make it enjoyable when it’s young and it has the force of a medium aging.

With an aging of at least 18 months you can type in the tipology “higher”.

The Master Gino Veronelli put him among the wines he loved most.
